We have had several successful patrols conducted on Churchill Gardens Estate by local neighbourhood policing teams.
During these patrols, stop and searches were carried out under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Two males were stopped after being seen smoking cannabis in a stairwell, resulting in cannabis being seized.
Response officers were also called to Churchill Gardens after suspects made off from officers. One male was later detained and searched.
This has been a positive outcome in helping to reduce anti-social behaviour and cannabis use within the estate. Officers will continue to patrol the area proactively, and stop searches will be conducted where appropriate.
If you witness any anti-social behaviour, please report it by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency.
